• Everybody Eats was inspired by food drives at my high school that supported students in need. That moment opened my eyes to how close food insecurity really is. In college, I began volunteering at USC’s Gamecock Pantry and launched this initiative through the Miss America Opportunity to take action statewide.

  • Everybody Eats is built on one truth: food is a need—not a privilege. This initiative works to break the stigma of food insecurity, educate others, and promote community-led solutions. It’s a message of hope and shared responsibility—because we all need to eat.

  • ✓ Donated 1,100+ food items across SC

✓ Created K–12 curriculum on hunger & empathy

✓ Partnered with local leaders and businesses

✓ Volunteered with food banks & nonprofits

✓ Built an online resource hub with tools, facts, and local support info

I’m proud to be a recipient of the Food Dignity® Badge, awarded through the national Food Dignity® Challenge founded by registered dietitian and hunger advocate Clancy Harrison. This certification reflects my commitment to dismantling the stigma surrounding food insecurity and promoting equitable food access. Through a series of interactive lessons and personal reflection, I gained tools to challenge assumptions about hunger, identify hidden hunger in communities, and implement practices that preserve the dignity of those in need.

As a badge holder, I now serve as an advocate within a national network of changemakers working to transform the food system through education, policy, and community-based action. This badge strengthens my mission through Everybody Eats—allowing me to apply food dignity principles to school visits, nonprofit partnerships, and social campaigns that uplift every South Carolinian. I'm honored to stand alongside the Food Dignity® Movement as we work to ensure that access to food is never treated as a privilege, but a right.
